TonePad Pro is the easiest and coolest way to make music. Discover the inner musician in you. Create songs by simply touching the screen and seeing notes light up. Share your unique creations with friends.
The Pro version is all the goodness of TonePad with the added ability to create custom ringtones. Email the ringtone to yourself or a friend. Add the attached ringtone file into your iTunes library on your computer and sync with your iPhone. The ringtone will then be selectable on the iPhone via Settings > Sounds > Ringtone. You can also import your saved songs from TonePad 1.11.
If you like Andre Michelle's ToneMatrix or the Tenori-On, then you will absolutely love this app.
TonePad Pro features a clean minimalist user interface with a full 16x16 matrix. The sound quality remains excellent regardless of how many notes are playing at the same time.
You can save an unlimited number of songs. The current song is also saved automatically on exit.
Sharing your musical creations couldn't be simpler. You simply press the Upload button and give your friend the song code. Your friend then downloads the song directly into TonePad Pro by pressing the Download button and entering that code.

This app is good but the only reason they made it 99cents is that you can add what you make as a ringtone. So if you want this app just get the free one.
TonePad Pro is amazing; I want more!
TonePad Pro is a blast to toy around with. If you are into making quirky experimental music, TonePad Pro is surely worth the download. That being said, however, I hope the creators are listening. (They seem fairly receptive to user requests; removing ads from the paid version and fixing a gap at the end of the loop.) I know the intent is to keep it simple, but it would be great to see an advanced mode full of more features. It's just that, as of right now, there isn't a single app on the app store that can rival the experience of having a $999.00 Yamaha Tenori-On... but there is no reason for there not to be. TonePad Pro could be so much more. In fact, TonePad Pro could be the first to satiate that need. That being said, you won't likely be disappointed by the purchase. The fun is there even in its simple current form... But let's hope TonePad Pro can evolve into something revolutionary.
Not that easy
I think this is a fun app but the explanation was a little deceiving. I was under the impression it would be easy to add ringtones to your phone. Incorrect! It's much more complicated than just hitting a button or even opening an email. I went to the website for help and there is no support except an email. Fun app but don't expect to make your own easy ringtones.
Noise, not music
You get only a 6 tone scale. I don't think a musical 12 tone scale would have been difficult. You can't scroll outside the matrix to add range or length. So you can't mimick a melody or make any but a few sensible chords. And the ringtones are so weak you can only hear them with a headset. Total waste!
No ringtones
I only downloaded this program so that I could make custom ringtones with it. However, when they get e-mailed, they arrive in a format that I can't open or import into iTunes. That makes this program absolutely useless to me.
Fun app!
I like the added feature allowing you to generate custom ringtones. Definitely well worth the purchase price over the free version for this feature.
Nice, but...
Tried Tunepad (free) and liked that the screenshot of the Pro version looked to be ad-free, so I went ahead and purchased it. Disappointed to see the scrolling ads running across the top of the screen on the paid version! What?
Hey come on - I paid for better than this. Dump the ad banner from the Pro version!
TonePad Pro
Neat feature creating ring tones! Now a wish list: multiple-instruments, longer / multiple pads, variable delay before restart, copy & repeat. I can understand the KISS principle and this is a great app in that regard, but please add more features.
Fun way to create custom Ringtone
Love the feature to create custom ringtone. This feature is worth upgrading from TonePad free app, which I used since the app release.
Where are the instruments??!!
The description of this app leads one to beleive that you have a wealth of instrument sounds available. This would be an awesome app if that were true. There are better apps that perform the type function TonePad Pro does and are not misleading in the promotion of their product.
